Is the new Nightmare On Elm Street as hairy as the first?

There's like a twenty year old clerk at the Convenient across the street who seemed really let down. Geez! It dawned on me she's as old as I was when the original came out. She seemed really depressed. Can it be that bad? Sequels often are.
