The group of seargents and duchesses reached the top of the mountain, and quite suddenly came upon a deserted chairlift. Much to their surprise, an alligator was sitting at the bottom of one of the poles, looking quite accustomed to frightening people. The terrified sergeants stared at the alligator as the clamoring duchesses threw themselves headfirst back down the hill. It was not until the duchesses had reached the lamppost halfway down the mountain that the seargents realized that the alligator was not real. The seargents' commander went down to get the embarred ladies and accompanied them as they slowly climbed back up to the top. Their dissolution was finally complete.
